4M have had a full week of learning this week and have been so impressive with all their knowledge and dancing in PE!
We had a fantastic time in our library session, children explored different genres of their books and had a great time getting lost in their chosen stories and books. Remember: There is an exciting opportunity to enter a BBC 500-Word Writing Competition, these can be written or typed up and printed or emailed and is a fantastic opportunity for children to show off their fascinating imaginations. All entries can be emailed to the office or given to Mrs Whitely and must have the child’s name and class written on it. The deadline for this is October 16th. Happy writing 4M!

The children embraced their inner artists as we began our Art projects that link beautifully with our learning all about the Roman’s. We have been designing our shields based on which patterns we felt inspired by when looking at traditional Roman shields.

We also focussed our learning in History on the story of Romulus and Remus, and the children had wonderful discussions around which stories could be myths and which are real!
In Writing, we began to our first action write using our toolkit, making sure that we used fronted adverbials, prepositions, adjectives and descriptive phrases, punctuation and show not tell. We can’t wait to continue our story writing next week!
Have a fantastic weekend everybody!
