I can’t believe that we have completed five weeks of being in 4M! It has been lovely to continue to watch personalities flourish and see how the children are thriving in the Year 4 curriculum.
This week, we have had a big push with our multiplication, and we hope that our times tables are being practised as much as possible to help the children in their Maths. TT Rockstar log ins were sent out earlier in the term, but if you do need these details sent home again, please let us know. Our goal is for TTRS to be used at home as much as possible so that we can embed the learning happening at school and become TRUE times table rockstars!
We have also continued to look at how the British Values link to all aspects of our curriculum and personal development values. It has been lovely to hear such lovely oracy around how we can apply these to our day to day lives and how they are implemented in our society. In PSHE, we looked at how a Bill can be converted to a Law and how the House of Commons, House of Lords and the Monarch are significant parts in that. The children were given their own roles and we did a whole-class role play on how this would work.
We also observed the impact that our liquids had on our eggs on the eggs-periment and found that the acidic and sugary liquids had the biggest impact, helping us visualise the impact acids and sugars can have on our teeth!
Have a lovely weekend everybody!
