Year 4 have had a wonderful time this week.
We have voted for our School Councillor and have received lots of applications for House Leaders, Collective Worship Champions, and School Food Ambassadors so we look forward to find out who are elected!
In History, we look at our big question “What is the Roman Empire?” And began to look at how the Roman Empire expanded and which countries they controlled. We used the Atlas’s on our iPads to look at these countries and how the names have changed over time.
In Science, we have dived headfirst into all things digestive system where we began to look at the effect of sugars and on in our teeth. We have conducted an experiment using eggs, vinegar, milk, Diet Coke and Coke to reflect the effects these can have on our teeth. We look forward to observing the results in a week’s time to see the impact these liquids have had!
A big reminder about the 500-Word Writing competition, it would be lovely to have some Year 4 entries. The deadline is 16th October!
We also enjoyed our weekly library session where children got absorbed in a range of books. Please make sure we bring back library books on a Friday so we can either re-scan them or swap it for a new book.
